The Jacobs Golden Eagles will face off against the Cathedral Fighting Irish at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jacobs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

If Jacobs beats Cathedral with seven runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Jacobs' pitchers stepped up to hand Murphysboro a 7-0 shutout on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won three in a row.

Kyle Wayda led a balanced Golden Eagles bullpen and pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Andrew Deegan was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Andrew Robertsen also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bo Blondi, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Eli Bennett was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
