It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Christopher had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Palma Chieftains 8-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Christopher.
Mason Dubenko and Aiden Simeon did most of the damage at the plate: Dubenko went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI, while Simeon scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Sam Guenther was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Christopher has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Palma, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
Christopher will face off against Hollister on Saturday. Hollister will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Christopher surely won't give up without a fight. Palma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
