Soccer Recap: Gering Takes a Loss

Gering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Douglas Bearcats. While losing is never fun, Gering can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 66th in Nebraska, while Douglas are ranked 15th in Wyoming).

Gering's record now sits at 1-8. As for Douglas, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gering will face off against Scottsbluff at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Gering are facing Scottsbluff at the right time seeing as Scottsbluff are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Douglas, they will challenge Rawlins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
