Metro Tech took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Independence, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Patriots on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Metro Tech's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Independence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Metro Tech will head out to challenge Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they will face off against Glendale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
