Baseball Recap: North Canyon Comes Up Short

North Canyon suffered their closest defeat since March 1, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Gila Ridge Hawks by a score of 7-5. The Rattlers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

North Canyon got a good showing from Lyric Sanders, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sanders has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, North Canyon saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Villarreal, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Emilio Figueroa, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
