Basketball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Shawnee Wolves came up short against the North Rock Creek Cougars and fell 61-53. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Cougars are ranked 15th).

Shawnee's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-11. As for North Rock Creek, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Shawnee is taking a road trip to square off against Claremore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Rock Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jones at 7:30 p.m.
