La Salle Academy hoping to claim seventh state championship in nine seasons.

1. La Salle Academy (Providence)
2013-14 finish: 18-6
Head coach: Sean Reddy

La Salle Academy has won the Division I state championship six times in the past eight years and it could be primed to win another state crown in 2015. The Rams return one of the state's top players in Isabella Folgo, who earned third team all-state honors as a sophomore. Meanwhile teammate Ainsley Burns, a junior, received honorable mention All-Division I. The Rams lost to eventual state champion North Kingstown 52-49 in last year's Division I semifinals.

2. North Kingstown
2013-14 finish: 24-2
Head coach: Bob Simeone



The defending Division I state champions will have to make up for the loss of Alexandra Barton and Taylor Buckley, both of whom earned first team all-state honors by the Providence Journal. The Skippers will rely on Molly Fied, a 5-8 senior who earned all-division honors by the Rhode Island Coaches Association. Brenna Copolla and Amanda Bednarick, two of the leading scorers on last year's team, also return.

3. Rogers (Newport)
2013-14 finish: 26-0
Head coach: Frank Brow

Rogers finished the season undefeated and won a battle between unbeatens in the Division II championship game against St. Raphael Academy 55-32. The team's top two players, Josie Chavez and Brianna Morgera, have both graduated, but Sarah Morris, an all-area player as a junior, returns for Frank Brow's team.

4. Barrington
2013-14 finish: 11-11
Head coach: Stephen Lenz



Barrington reached the Division I state finals last year, falling to North Kingstown. Under coach Stephen Lenz, the team has averaged 22 wins over the past eight seasons. Barrington loses all-state power forward Maura Kelty to graduation but it returns all-division selection Grecia Restituyo, a senior center.

5. Sanchez Complex (Providence)
2013-14 finish: 22-2
Head coach: Ty Dale

Sanchez Complex captured the Division III state championship in 2014 and returns four of the team's top scorers from that squad. Included in the group is all-state pick Elfreda Hoff and all-division selections D'asia allen and Willcia McBorrough. Hoff, a junior, and McBorrough, a sophomore, averaged 14 points per game last season while Allen, a senior, led the team with 19.6 points per game.
