Soccer Game Preview: Norco vs. Elsinore

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Norco challenge the Elsinore at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday... The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Elsinore is hoping to do what Sultana couldn't on Monday: put an end to Norco's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Norco's defense stepped up to hand Sultana a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Abraham Garcia, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Elsinore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Jurupa Valley out 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Tigers were the better team in the second half.

Norco pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Elsinore, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
