Football Recap: Spring-Ford Falls to Souderton in First Game of Season

Spring-Ford unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 31-7 to the Souderton Indians on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Kaden Pickersgill threw for 84 yards on five of 11 attempts. Cole Broderick was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards. On the ground, Brayden Hinkle rushed for 68 yards and one score.

Ben Walsh was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 166 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground.

Spring-Ford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 36-3 defeat against Easton Area on the 29th. As for Souderton, they have also already played their next game, a 19-7 win against Central Bucks South on the 29th.
