Ethan Waywood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Waywood was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Brandon Woodward was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Ethan Sherban was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Emmanuel Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Northwood fell victim to Danbury and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Lakers. The Rangers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Emmanuel Christian's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Emmanuel Christian came up short against Northwood when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 9-5. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
