Soccer Recap: Mclane Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Atwater kept up with McLane until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Highlanders blew past the Falcons 3-0. That's two games straight that McLane have won by exactly three goals.

They hit Atwater with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Wilber Ruiz, Rogelio Rendon, and Carlos Gastelum.

The win was the fourth in a row for McLane, bringing their record up to 5-1-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Atwater, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-2 record this season.

McLane will take on Los Banos in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Atwater and Central Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
