Softball Recap: Cold Springs Takes a Loss

Cold Springs lost against Fairview last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cold Springs Eagles fell 8-4 to the Fairview Aggies. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cold Springs saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cheyenne Bishop, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. The dominant performance gave Bishop a new career-high in hits. Joci Williams also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Cold Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Fairview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Fairview, they will venture away from home to take on Guntersville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview is facing Guntersville at the right time seeing as Guntersville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
