Recap: Irondale vs. Mounds View
The Mounds View Mustangs were the 72-61 winners over the Irondale Knights when they previously met in January. This past Friday? They had no such luck. Mounds View came up short against Irondale, falling 57-48. That's the fewest points the Mustangs have scored all year.
Mounds View's loss pushed them down to 16-6. The win improved Irondale's record to 15-8.
Mounds View will be playing at home against Cretin-Derham Hall Monday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Mounds View now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds. Irondale will stay at home against White Bear Lake Monday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, the Knights have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps rankings on their side for this one.
