Recap: Guilderland Flying Dutchmen vs. Ballston Spa Scotties

If the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen were riding high off their 77-37 takedown of the Schenectady Patriots on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Guilderland took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ballston Spa. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Leading Ballston Spa to victory were Aubrey Kramer and Sophia Lee. Kramer went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 1 assist, while Lee almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. Kramer is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Chloe Rhoden, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.

Guilderland has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Ballston Spa, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8.

Guilderland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-33 loss vs. Bethlehem Central on the 9th. Ballston Spa has also already played their next match, a 63-46 loss against Columbia on the 9th.
