Baseball Game Preview: Waterloo Bulldogs vs. Triad Knights

Waterloo is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Triad is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bulldogs will host the Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.

Waterloo is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Marion just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 15-9.

Meanwhile, Triad got themselves on the board against Christian Brothers on Thursday, but Christian Brothers never followed suit. They blew past the Cadets 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Triad's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Waterloo, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Waterloo couldn't quite get it done against Triad when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 11-6. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
