Baseball Game Preview: Arrowhead Warhawks vs. Waukesha North Northstars

For the second straight game, Arrowhead will face off against Waukesha North. The Warhawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Northstars at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Arrowhead took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Waukesha North, sneaking past 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warhawks have posted against the Northstars since June 2, 2021.

Mason Chirafisi looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cam Carter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Arrowhead: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Ollie Corry also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Arrowhead is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Waukesha North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
