Basketball Recap: Stewartville Comes Up Short

If Stewartville was feeling good fresh off their 74-51 takedown of Lake City last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stewartville Tigers took an 81-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faribault Falcons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (74), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Stewartville's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Faribault, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coming up, Stewartville is taking a road trip to face off against Lourdes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Faribault, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Century at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Faribault knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Century likes a good challenge.
