Volleyball Recap: Holdrege Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

With a playoff win on the line, Holdrege rose to the challenge on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Platteview Trojans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dusters have posted since October 4th.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-100) Holdrege actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 19-25, 14-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Ellie Pelster had an outrageously good game as she had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last ten matches.

Holdrege pushed their record up to 22-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Platteview, the loss snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 28-5 record.
