Volleyball Recap: Minooka Takes a Loss

Minooka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lincoln-Way East Griffins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21.

Luke Kirin paced Minooka's offense, picking up four kills. Kirin got some help from Nicholas Boyce and his seven assists.

Minooka's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lincoln-Way East, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minooka will challenge Joliet Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln-Way East, they will square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
