Volleyball Recap: Caprock Takes a Loss

Caprock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Caprock was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lubbock-Cooper's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-10, 25-17.

Caprock's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Caprock is set to take on their familiar foe Palo Duro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lubbock-Cooper will square off against rival Lubbock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
