Soccer Recap: Englewood Takes a Loss

If Englewood was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fort Lupton on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell just short of the Arrupe Jesuit Generals by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Englewood of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Carson Warren, who's now up to two this season.

Englewood has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-1 record this season. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they now have a winning record of 6-5-4.

Englewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they will face off against Peak to Peak at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Peak to Peak's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Arrupe Jesuit's offense will have their work cut out for them.
