Football Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Comes Up Short

If Cimarron-Memorial was riding high fresh off their 46-0 takedown of Cheyenne last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cimarron-Memorial Spartans lost 45-20 to the Basic Wolves on Wednesday.

Cimarron-Memorial dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Basic, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Cimarron-Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Sunrise Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunrise Mountain's defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so Cimarron-Memorial's offense will have their work cut out for them. Basic has already played their next matchup (against Las Vegas), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
