Basketball Game Preview: Evadale Rebels vs. Weimar Wildcats

The Evadale Rebels will square off against the Weimar Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evadale will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.

Evadale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Bremond with a sharp 64-40 victory. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 24 points or more this season.

Evadale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devin Terrell, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 13 points and four steals. What's more, Terrell also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaden Gravis, who posted six points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Evadale was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They posted seven more assists than Bremond's also-impressive total of ten.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Weimar faced off against Granger on Tuesday. Weimar had just enough and edged out Granger 42-40.

Weimar is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points over those games. Evadale's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-7.
