Eustis and Apopka pushed the score to 14-10 the last time they played Apopka, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Blue Darters 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Carson Roden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dalilah Taylor, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. Kendall Kemp was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Eustis back to even at 1-1. As for Apopka, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Eustis will head out to challenge Lake Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apopka, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Evans at 6:00 p.m.
