Hammond Central's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Gouverneur Wildcats with a sharp 57-35 win. The Red Devils not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 21, 2024 (when they won 59-33).

Gouverneur's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braydan Brown, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Stowell, who put up nine points.

The victory got Hammond Central back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Hammond Central will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Harrisville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gouverneur, they will square off against Salmon River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
