Soccer Game Preview: Harbor Teacher vs. Fremont

The Harbor Teacher Monarchs will head out to challenge the Fremont Pathfinders at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Harbor Teacher's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Harbor Teacher fell victim to Foshay and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1171st, while the Wolverines are ranked 290th).

Meanwhile, Fremont hasn't lost a match since November 21, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Locke 2-1.

Fremont is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five matches. As for Harbor Teacher, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
