Baseball Recap: Reed's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Reed had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Damonte Ranch Mustangs on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Tuesday.

Reed let Tai Chang and Michael Challacomb run wild. Chang went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Challacomb went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two runs gave Chang a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Moss, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Reed's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Damonte Ranch, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Reed will challenge rival Reno at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Damonte Ranch is set to take on their familiar foe Carson at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
