Softball Recap: Blue Ridge Comes Up Short

Blue Ridge lost against Mount Vernon on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Blue Ridge came up short against Mount Vernon, falling 13-1. Blue Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blue Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miranda Caro, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was Caro's first of the season.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mount Vernon, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-5-1.

While Blue Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
