Soccer Game Preview: Wooster vs. Damonte Ranch

The Wooster Colts will challenge the Damonte Ranch Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wooster is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.

While Wooster's win against Carson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colts won by a goal and slipped past the Senators 3-2.

Wooster hit Carson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landon Holman, Brayan Caldera, and Juvenson Jules.

Meanwhile, Damonte Ranch faced Sparks in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs lost 5-0 to the Railroaders. The defeat continues a trend for Damonte Ranch in their meetings with Sparks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Wooster's victory bumped their record up to 10-2-1. As for Damonte Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3-1.

Wooster beat Damonte Ranch by a goal when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
