Baseball Recap: Las Animas Trojans vs. Calhan Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monte Vista, Las Animas was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Calhan Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won five games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Logan Servaes made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Servaes was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, Las Animas let Jesus Lopez and Nicholas Duran run wild. Lopez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Duran scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave Duran a new career-high.
