Baseball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point lost against Pontotoc back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. West Point fell 6-2 to Pontotoc. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sam Robinson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Pontotoc, their record now sits at 13-6.

While West Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
