Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Wildcats vs. Stanton County Trojans
Elkhart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Stanton County Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
The final score came out to 25-7, 25-11.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stanton County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Scott, who had ten kills and a block.
Elkhart's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Stanton County, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elkhart will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Syracuse on October 1st. As for Stanton County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sublette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
