On Thursday, the Banneker Trojans were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 12-6 to the McIntosh Chiefs.

Banneker's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tytianna Ramsey, who rushed for 100 yards on only ten carries. Ramsey is becoming a predictor of Banneker's success: when she posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 4-2 (and 1-4 when she doesn't).
