Baseball Recap: Rejoice Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rejoice Christian can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Locust Grove Pirates an 8-0 shutout. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Micah Walker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ethan Lawson was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Kai Buntin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
