Baseball Recap: Needles Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, Needles was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Camp Verde Cowboys. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Holden Jones was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of JD Lusk, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The win got Needles back to even at 1-1. As for Camp Verde, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Needles didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-4 loss against Churchill County on the 28th. As for Camp Verde, they have also already played their next game, an 8-4 defeat against Mohave on the 1st.
