Baseball Recap: Musselman Has No Trouble Against Greenbrier East

Musselman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Greenbrier East on Friday. The Applemen were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Spartans. The win continues a trend for the Applemen in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won five in a row.

Musselman got a massive performance out of Taryn Boyles, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The Applemen are undefeated when Boyles posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Tannor Sharp was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Musselman's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Greenbrier East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Musselman will venture away from home to face off against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenbrier East, they will head out to take on Martinsburg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
