Basketball Recap: Carvers Bay Skates Past East Clarendon with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Norman Christian, Carvers Bay was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 79-39 blowout they got against the East Clarendon Wolverines. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Carvers Bay found their leader in sophomore Jamie Graham, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Graham has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Bell, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Carvers Bay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Carvers Bay pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for East Clarendon, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Carvers Bay will have a chance to go back-to-back against East Clarendon: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
