Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask David City). They blew past the Shelby-Rising City Huskies, posting a 54-18 win. Given the Scouts' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Huskies are ranked 236th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was David City's third in a row) raised their record to 9-7. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points per game. As for Shelby-Rising City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

David City will challenge Central City at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Shelby-Rising City has already played their next contest (against Dorchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
