Stockton Malone Shorts of Copper Hills (West Jordan, Utah) might have the best name in high school basketball.

Yes, that's his real name.

Shorts was named after former Utah Jazz superstars John Stockton and Karl Malone, according to Kurt Kragthorpe of the Salt Lake Tribune. His parents met the Dream Teamers more than two years before his birth.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound guard is averaging 24.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game for the 20-win Grizzlies this season.

Malone Shorts told MaxPreps that he's had overtures from a few junior colleges.

The senior will lead Copper Hills into the Utah Class 5A state quarterfinals on Wednesday night against Layton (Utah).
