After a string of four wins, Gentry's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 78-64 bruising from the Pea Ridge Blackhawks. The Pioneers were probably out for revenge after losing 65-31 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gentry's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Pea Ridge, they moved to 6-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Gentry will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. After both having extra time off, Pea Ridge and Green Forest will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
