It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pickens Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Spring Garden Panthers 12-2. Considering the Pirates have won 13 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pickens Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Spring Garden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.

Coming up, Pickens Academy will face off against Addison on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. Spring Garden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
