Softball Recap: Los Fresnos Comes Up Short

Los Fresnos lost against San Benito back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Los Fresnos lost 21-2 to San Benito.

Los Fresnos saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leslie Cantu, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Cantu has posted since back in February of 2024.

Los Fresnos' defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for San Benito, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-7-1.

Coincidentally, Los Fresnos and San Benito will both be playing Veterans Memorial the next time they take the field. Los Fresnos will head out to face Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while San Benito will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
