Basketball Recap: Teton Piles Up the Points Against Bear Lake

Teton had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point drubbing they dealt Bear Lake on Saturday. The Teton Timberwolves blew past the Bear Lake Bears 66-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Timberwolves have posted since January 25th.

Teton was led to victory by Canon Kunz and Jake Streit. Kunz dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards, while Streit almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaac Thomas, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points.

Bear Lake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Broxton Birch, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Andersen, who put up nine points.

Teton pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Bear Lake, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Teton will venture away from home to face off against North Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bear Lake, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Evanston at 7:40 p.m. on December 19th.
