Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

Sycamore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Genoa-Kingston Cogs. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cogs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Sycamore's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Genoa-Kingston, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sycamore will challenge LaSalle-Peru at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will venture away from home to take on Winnebago at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
