Baseball Recap: Upper Scioto Valley Takes a Loss

Upper Scioto Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Continental on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 5-3.

Upper Scioto Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Underwood, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-6. As for Continental, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6-1.

Looking ahead, Upper Scioto Valley will head out to square off against Elgin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Continental, they will host Antwerp at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
