Preview: Harding Skippers vs. East Palestine Bulldogs
The Harding Skippers will head out on the road to face off against the East Palestine Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Harding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Thursday.
Harding was handed a 50-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Mentor Christian last Thursday. Harding had just enough and edged Mentor Christian out 40-38. The victory was just what Harding needed coming off of a 64-14 defeat in their prior match.
Jana Vale and Madisen Mcfadden were among the main playmakers for Harding as the former scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vale has scored all season.
Meanwhile, East Palestine beat Memorial 30-17 on Monday.
East Palestine can attribute much of their success to Jasmine Ludt, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Ludt is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Andre, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Harding's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. As for East Palestine, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.
