Basketball Recap: Holston Comes Up Short

Holston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-31 bruising from the Chilhowie Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-29 back in January.

Holston's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Chilhowie, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Holston and Chilhowie could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Holston will square off against Rural Retreat at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 199 places (367 vs. 168). Similarly, Chilhowie (ranked 299th) will meet Honaker (ranked 63rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
