Basketball Recap: Eric Korhut Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Marion Center

Conemaugh Valley won the last time they faced Marion Center and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays walked away with a 64-55 victory over the Marion Center Stingers.

Conemaugh Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eric Korhut out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Those 15 points gave Korhut a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Henry, who posted 17 points.

Despite the loss, Marion Center had strong showings from Kamden Rozier, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, and Noah Mccoy, who put up 20 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Mccoy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ian Kutsch, who earned five points.

Conemaugh Valley now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Marion Center, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Conemaugh Valley has already played their next contest, a 67-58 victory against Penns Manor on the 10th. As for Marion Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-54 defeat against Conemaugh Township on the 10th.
