Football Recap: Windsor Falls Despite Big Games from Anthony Robinson and Missoni Brown

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six games, Windsor finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Southington Blue Knights, falling 28-7. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Missoni Brown and Anthony Robinson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Brown gained 195 total yards and a touchdown, while Robinson threw for 200 yards and one touchdown. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 102.6 receiving yards per game.

Ben Beaulieu was a one-man wrecking crew For Southington. as he rushed for 248 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Beaulieu showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Windsor fell to 7-1. As for Southington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Coming up, Windsor will take on East Hartford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Southington, they will face off against Maloney at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
