Basketball Recap: Aedyn Tribelhorn Key Part of Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Otis won the last time they faced Lone Star and things went their way on Monday too. The Otis Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Lone Star Longhorns 47-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Otis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aedyn Tribelhorn led the charge by to rack up 25 points and five rebounds. What's more, Tribelhorn also posted a 50% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Lydia Willeke was another key player, putting up eight points.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aimee Trejo, who en route to 15 points and six boards. Trejo continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jade Kuntz, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine assists.

Otis' victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Lone Star, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Otis and Lone Star will both be playing Flagler the next time they take the court. Otis will head out to face Flagler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lone Star will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
